I grew up in Southern California and began playing guitar at a young age, but was always too scared to sing. I refused to. I was shy and insecure. Eventually, I was forced into singing background vocals for a performance at the Orange County Fair. I walked off the stage buzzing — turns out Jimmy Eat World harmonies offer a transformative experience.

This ended up being the portal into the world of writing and performing my own music, which I've kept up over the years. Songwriting seems to help me process the human stuff: self-doubt, uncertainty, Tuesday nights.

I'm focused on continuing to write songs that are hopefully better than the one's before them. And I'm fortunate when people connect with them.
